Had Fun Shopping!

Yesterday, Dan and I went shopping while we left the kids with a friend!  Then we went to the Adult session of Stake Conference.  It was so good to spend some time with Dan.

We have been talking for quite awhile about buying this:
Now we can put away the booster chairs as there is someplace for everyone to sit.  It matches our table really well.

Then we went to DI (a thrift store).  They have brand new mattresses and furniture you can buy for a fraction of the cost (as well as used things).  So we decided to buy a full size bed for Ruth and Irene to share.
Jennilyn is helping Irene up onto her new bed after already helping Ruth up.
Here are the girls on the new bed.  It was fun to watch Dillon help Dan set up the bed, and then to put the bench together.  He is growing up!  We bought the new bedding at Walmart and I like it.  I looked for a bed in a bag for the kids, but they were selling them in individualizes things (ie sheets one price, comforter another price, not all together in one bundle), and I couldn't justify spending $70 on bedding.  I spent only $40 instead.  The girls went to bed with a lot of giggling, but then once the door was shut, they settled down and went to sleep. The girls slept really well last night, and didn't get up until 6:40am!  You have to understand they have been waking up and running to each other's room at 5am, so for them to sleep a little longer was great!

We had to strap the box spring onto the top of the van (thank goodness we keep straps in the van for this very reason) and the mattress slid into the back of the van. (we had left all the car seats at home so we could lay down the seats in the van to slide the mattress in on top of the seats.

So we had a great day, and I am glad for the time spent with Dan, and to see the smile on my kids faces when we brought everything home.  Now we get to see how the girls sleep from here on out.

How old are you?

This is Irene, she is 20 months old.  Saturday night was a rough night for sick kids in our house.  First Irene came and climbed in bed with me at 1:30am and then her big brother Dillon joined us shortly after.  Then my 3 year old daughter came in at 2am crying because she had wet her bed.  I get up and help her and try to get Dillon and Jennilyn back in bed with a lot of fighting and when I got up I though Irene had gone back to sleep on my bed.  While I was trying to get Jennilyn and Dillon back to bed and going to sleep, I notice the TV coming on in my room.  Irene had gotten a hold of the remote and turned on the TV and Blue Ray player and was watching the credits of Star Trek (the newest one) and she was just laying on my pillows watching with the remote in hand.  I took her to her bed and she went right back to sleep.

I just had to laugh that a 20 month old little girl could figure out the remote and just lay down and watch the movie that was in.  Funny little girl!

He is growing up!

Well I think I know what we will try and get for his birthday or Christmas this year.  A bike!  Dillon and the girls loved riding the bikes at their Aunt Marsha's house this last weekend.  My little boy is growing up!

Check up time!

Today I took Jennilyn, Ruth and Irene in for checkups and shots.

Jennilyn weighted in at 30 lbs. I didn't get her height.

Ruth weighted in at 19 lbs 12 oz and 29 1/2 inches long

Irene weighted in at 20 lbs and 29 inches long.

Yes, that is right everyone, Ruth has always been smaller weight and height wise to Irene, but not anymore.  She is 1/2 inch longer then Irene and is only 4 oz smaller.

But all three girls were cleared with a clean bill of health!

Growing Up

I own three excersausers I have two at my mother in laws and one here at my home for the twins, they love them. The other day Jennilyn decided that she was going to get into one and play, I caught these pictures before I made her get out. She is a cutie and I love her.

Dillon sure is trying to be a big helper even though he still doesn't talk much, we were going to leave my in-laws today and he was draging me over to his twin sisters so that I could carry them out, and then once we got home he stood by the one sister while I carried the other one up to our 2nd floor apartment and then he walked with me while I carried the other one up, if he could carry them I think he would. I am sure blessed to have such great kids.He also wanted to get himself dressed and he sat on the potty tonight, now if we can just get him to do that all the time.

The twins are trying to pull themselves up into sitting positions and such, they are getting quite skilled at this.

Another week

Well, the kids are all growing. We did family pics this last week, so I will post some as soon as I get them.

Dan left out of town on Sunday for two weeks. So since he was going to be gone, I decided to go down to Kennewick and stay with my grandparents. We are having a great time here.

Dillon did something new today. Grandma was watching him, Jennilyn, & Ruth while I went shopping with Irene in tow. Grandma had put Jennilyn down for a nap and Dillon had been playing. She got lunch put away and was tending to Ruth and got her laid down, when she went to check on Dillon, she couldn't find him, he had gone down to the basement to the room that he stay's in, closed the door and climbed into his bed and went to sleep for his nap. He dosen't always take a nap anymore, and he has never just gone to his bed and gone to sleep. I am glad that the kids were good for Grandma while I was gone.

Growing like weeds!

Well, we had the twins in for their 2 month check up yesturday. Ruth is now 9 lbs 5 ozs and 21 inches long. Irene is 9 lbs 14 ozs and 22 inches long. The Dr said they were doing great for twins or even if they had been a single baby that is a great weight. Jennilyn is sure getting jelous lately of the twins and Dillon as Dillon gets to go to speech theraphy twice a week and she dosen't get to go out as often. Oh, well, I am trying to do more with her. We have an appointment tomorrow to get Dillon into preschool. I hope it will help with his speech.
